Gun Donated to Sunset Hills Goodwill Store
An employee found the gun in the store's donation box.

The Sunset Hills Goodwill thrift store received an unusual item in its donation box last week—a gun.
The gun was dropped off sometime before an employee checked the donation box at the end of the day on Aug. 25. The gun was rusted and did not contain all of its operating parts, according to police.
Officers took possession of the weapon. The gun is scheduled to be destroyed.

The gun isn't the only odd donation the store has received this year. This spring a family reclaimed $5,000 they had accidentally donated among a deceased relative's belongings.
