
Last week the Lindbergh School District Board of Education approved almost $625,000 in construction for improvements to Long School, according to Call Newspapers.
The school district purchased an additional 4 acres earlier this year. School district officials have said the land will be used to expand the parking lot, play fields and relieve current traffic issues.
The proposed traffic route on the property drew opposition from residents in the Doercrest subdivision, who worry it will present new safety risks to their streets. The issue also caught the attention of Crestwood Alderman Mike Tsichlis, who lives on Doercrest Drive, according to Call.
