Lindbergh School Board Welcomes Former Member Back to Table

Mark Rudoff will claim the empty board seat left by former President Vic Lenz.

Monday night the Lindbergh Board of Education approved former member Mark Rudoff to fill a board vacancy, the school district announced Tuesday.

Rudoff will fill the seat vacated by former President Vic Lenz. Lenz was re-elected to his position this spring, but was nominated to serve as a member of the state school board by Gov. Jay Nixon in June. Rudoff, Cindy McDaniel and Gary Ujka were in the running for the open spot.

Rudoff previously served a member of the district's Board of Education for 13 years, according to a news release from the school district.
Monday night the board also approved a resolution honoring Lenz for his service to the district. Lenz worked in the district for 37 years as a teacher, principal and assistant principal. He was elected to the Board of Education in 2004 following his retirement. Lenz served as director, secretary, vice president and president of the board during his tenure, according to the release.

“Our board members have always been here for the right reasons,” Lenz said Monday. “They always do the right thing for kids, and I firmly believe that. And we need to remember to stay that way, and keep Lindbergh strong. Remember the teachers, keep them strong by staying competitive with other districts, and always do the best we can for as little money possible.”
