The Crestwood Board of Aldermen said no to granting a planned storage facility on Big Bend Boulevard roughly $172,000 in short-term tax abatement.
Last September the Crestwood Board of Aldermen unanimously approved a plan for a 60,000-square-foot EZ Storage at 9900 Big Bend Blvd. The overall project is expected to cost $3 million. The five-year tax abatement would help cover $184,000 in unforeseen expenses, including the construction of an extra right-of-way on the property, representatives said during the board's May 28 meeting.
A motion to approve the agreement did not receive a second from an alderman, and therefore no vote was taken.
