Solar Powered Light Thief Strikes Again

Crestwood Police Department reports on crime and law enforcement, July 27- Aug. 1.

July 27: An individual was taken into custody at Kohl's for theft. The individual switched price tags on an item, and attempted to return the item for a higher price.

July 27: Someone spray painted a Chevy Tahoe on the 700 block of Denton between July 26 and 27. The same vehicle was damaged three weeks prior, according to police.

July 28: A solar powered light valued at $10 was stolen from the 9100 block of Cordova. This is the third instance of solar lights going missing in Crestwood this summer.

July 28: A customer drove off without paying $39 at Mobil on the Run.

July 29: A 2006 Dodge Ram pickup truck was stolen from an office building on the 9200 block of Watson between 3:15 and 4:15 p.m. The vehicle was not recovered, according to police.

July 29: An individual was taken into custody at Kohl's for attempting to steal three pairs of pants valued at $326.

July 30: An individual was taken into custody at Kohl's for taking $360 worth of jewelry.

Aug. 1: Someone punched the lock on a 2008 Chevy Impala on the 600 block of Sessions.
