Westminster Christian Academy recently announced that its board of directors has chosen Barrett Mosbacker as Westminster’s next head of school. Dr. Mosbacker, who currently serves at Briarwood Christian School in Birmingham, Alabama, will succeed the school’s current interim head of school team, effective June 1, 2017.

“On behalf of the entire board, I want to say how pleased we are with the diligent and thorough work of the search committee over the last six months, and with their recommendation of Dr. Barrett Mosbacker as Westminster’s next head of school,” says President of the Board of Directors Mike Ottsen. “We are deeply impressed by Barrett’s passion for Christian education, his enthusiasm and work ethic, and the many ways that God has blessed the work of Barrett’s hands over the past 25 years. We are eager to see how God will use him as a blessing to Westminster.”

Mosbacker has served as superintendent of Briarwood Christian School for over 10 years. He has 28 years of experience in Christian education beginning in 1989, when he founded Covenant Day School in Matthews, North Carolina, providing leadership in nearly all areas of the school’s operation and development.
