Westminster Students Receive Prestigious Recognition for Performance on the National French Contest

Twenty-five Westminster students demonstrate their knowledge of the French language on national exam.

Twenty-five world language students from Westminster Christian Academy recently attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2017 National French Contest.

Two students earned silver medals, four received bronze medals, and 19 students were recognized as honorable mentions for their exam work. Several students ranked in the top 10 of the local chapter.

Each year since 1936, the American Association of Teachers of French sponsors and administers the National French Contest to students in grades 1-12 with over 100,000 students participating in 2017.

Teagan LeVar, ranked in the top 10 of the local chapter and scored 5th nationally

Hayley Fizer, scored 9th nationally
Camryn McMurry, ranked in the top 10 of the local chapter and scored 8th nationally
