Westminster Students Receive Prestigious Recognition for Performance on the National Spanish Exam
Over 60 Westminster students demonstrate their knowledge of the Spanish language on national exam.
Sixty-two world language students from Westminster Christian Academy recently attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2017 National Spanish Examinations.
Four students earned silver medals, 13 received bronze medals, and 46 students were recognized as honorable mentions for their exam work.
“Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examinations is very prestigious,” says Kevin Cessna-Buscemi, national director of the exams, “because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with 157,000 students participating in 2017.”

The National Spanish Examinations are administered each year in grades 6-12 and are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.
