Westminster Teacher Awarded for Excellence in Teaching

Westminster middle school science teacher Anne DeRousse recently received the Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award.

The success of every generation of students depends on the teachers who help shape them. One such outstanding faculty member is Anne DeRousse, Westminster Christian Academy's middle school science teacher.

Every year, Emerson sponsors the Emerson Excellence in Teaching Awards program, which recognizes more than 100 educators in the St. Louis metropolitan area (encompassing nine counties) who are examples of excellence in their field.

DeRousse exemplifies the qualities that make an excellent teacher. Now in her 13th year at Westminster, DeRousse has served in a variety of capacities, including teaching middle school science and math, coaching tennis, and mentoring and inducting new faculty into Westminster’s Center for Teaching and Learning.
