Westminster Teacher Inducted into Webster Groves Sports Hall of Fame

Westminster Christian Academy P.E. and health teacher Annie Sullivan was recently honored for an outstanding high school basketball career.

Westminster Christian Academy’s Annie Sullivan, who serves as a physical education and health teacher and chairs the school’s Physical Education and Health Department, was recently inducted into the Webster Groves High School Statesman Sports Hall of Fame.

She was selected by the Webster Groves Hall of Fame Committee and recognized for notable achievements during her high school basketball career. Sullivan was one of eight elected alumni – the only female inductee and representative from the class of 2000.

Webster Groves High School honored this year’s inductees with a small ceremony at the school’s varsity boys basketball game on Friday, January 20. A formal dinner and induction ceremony were held at Westborough Country Club on Saturday, January 21.

“It was a very humbling experience and I was surrounded by Webster's finest,” said Sullivan. “It was a special night and what made it even more special was the kind words I received from Westminster’s varsity girls basketball team beforehand. They surprised me with a little announcement before Friday’s game, and the girls had written small notes and kind words to say. It meant so much to me!”
