- July 29 Starlight Concert - Grand Elite. All concerts will be held fromÂ
6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday nights on the south side of Heman Park (Midland/Shaftesbury entrance). They are free and open to the public. - Missouri's Sales Tax Holiday Weekend is this week. If you are doing back-to-school shopping the weekend of Aug. 2-4, the State of Missouri waives sales tax on many items. For more information, see our previous story.
- Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal will hold a constituent help session on Sunday, Aug. 4, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at University City Public Library (6701 Delmar Blvd., University City 63130).
- The Salvation Army's Garbage Bag Gala is Friday, Aug. 2 at the Moonrise Hotel. The annual event features garbage bag clothing created by local designers. Discounted tickets are still available. Click here for more information. Â
- The SLIFF/Kids - Cinema St. Louis’ free family event continues this weekend. The First Annual St. Louis International Children’s Film Festival will offer film programs, camps, and a workshops Aug. 2-4.Â
