Bradley Beal Out for Rest of NBA Season With Stress Fracture

The Washington Wizards announced Wednesday that rookie guard Bradley Beal will miss the rest of the season with a stress fracture in his right leg.

Beal, a 2011 Chaminade graduate who left the University of Florida after his freshman year for the NBA, will be able to resume basketball activities in six weeks, according to a team statement.

Beal attended Jackson Park Elementary School and his mother Besta Beal teaches at University City High School. 

Beal finishes his first NBA season averaging 13.9 points, 3.8 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game. Prior to the injury, he missed a total of 18 games with ankle, back and wrist injuries.
