Capitalist Pig Barbeque at Mad Art Gallery Launches Free Summer Music Series in Soulard

"The Missouri Breaks" progressive bluegrass band will perform from 7:30 to 10 pm on Friday, July 3.

St. Louis, Missouri…The Mad Art Gallery, a former police station jailhouse turned into an art gallery, and the Capitalist Pig Barbeque Café are launching a summer music series on weekend evenings starting July 3 at 2727 South 12th Street in Soulard. Admission is free, no cover charge.

“The Missouri Breaks” bluegrass band will perform a progressive blend of bluegrass, new grass and other acoustic music at the Mad Art Gallery’s Capitalist Pig Barbeque Café from 7:30 to 10 pm on Friday, July 3.

The Mad Art Gallery (http://www.madartgallery.org) is a modern space in a renovated 1930’s police station with original jail cells and an outdoor patio offering award-winning food and drink service by Capitalist Pig Barbeque (http://www.capitalistpigbbq.com/), which serves locally sourced meat and poultry on the premises.

Mad Art Gallery and Capitalist Pig Barbeque are both located in the renovated Art Deco-style police station near the Anheuser Busch Brewery in St. Louis’ historic Soulard neighborhood.

“The Missouri Breaks” bluegrass band specializes in hard-driving, new grass rhythms and country music grooves with rock-influenced vocals and bold, instrumental solos. Band members have performed with many bands with different styles in the Midwest.
