Electronics Recycling Event Set For March 13 In University City

The first 100 TVs are free to recycle.

Do you need to get rid of electronics? Bring your working or non-working electronics to the Heman Park Community Center, 975 Pennsylvania on March 13th from 9am to noon.

The first 100 TVs are FREE to recycle because of a grant received from the Solid Waste Management District.

Please remain in your vehicle while associates remove your items. And please - wear a mask during this removal for your safety and the safety of others.

Acceptable Items no charge (working or not) ---- basically anything that has a cord or battery ----

Computers, LCD Monitors, Printers, Keyboards, Laptops, Hard Drives, Cell Phones, Pagers, Radios, Scanners, Speakers, VCR players, DVD players, Fax Machines, Answering Machines, Stereos, Stoves, Furnaces, Water Heat-ers, Microwaves, Power Tools, Kitchen Appliances, camera equipment, res-taurant equipment, medical equipment, lab equipment, machinery, most bat-teries, lawn and garden equipment (gas and oil must be removed prior to drop off) etc.

Unacceptable Items --

Alkaline Batteries, CDs/DVDs, VHS Tapes, Hazardous Materials, Any type of liquid, Any type of cylinder or tank, PCB Containing Ballasts, Light Bulbs, Smoke Detectors, Exit Signs, Fluorescent Tubes.

COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES FOR E-WASTE COLLECTION EVENTS

MRC to provide visible signage indicating to participants of COVID-19 precautions. Participants are required to remain in vehicles while MRC associates unload their vehicle.

All MRC associates working the event are required to wear masks at all times.

Other than fee collection, MRC associates shall limit interaction with participants.

Social distancing shall be required by all MRC associates working the event.

Additionally, MRC operations are conducted in compliance with P-063 Infectious Disease Response Plan to protect the health and safety of our staff and customers.
