Film, VHS Tapes and Locker Mirrors: What Isn't Sales Tax Free This Weekend

Helpful information if you are buying school supplies, clothing or electronics as the kids head back to school.

Today marks the beginning of Missouri's back to school sales tax holiday weekend. From Aug. 2-4, back to school purchases can be made free of Missouri state sales taxes.

You can find a list of cities here that have opted out of participating in the tax-free weekend. The ciities of Clayton, Richmond Heights and University City are on this list. This means state sales tax will still be waved at stores, but city sales tax will still be collected.
