Former Webster HS Teacher Arrested For Having Sex With Student
David F. Mendleson Jr., 58, was arrested at his home in University City. The sexual contact is alleged to have occurred in 2009 or 2010.
UNIVERSITY CITY, MO — A former English teacher at Webster Groves High School has been charged with two counts of sexual contact with a student, the Post-Dispatch reports. David F. Mendleson Jr., 58, was arrested at his home in University City Wednesday. Bond is set at $100,000.
According to a press release, Webster Groves School District contacted authorities to report the allegations earlier in March, prompting the Webster Groves Police Department to investigate. The sexual contact is alleged to have happened during the 2009-2010 school year, and Mendleson hasn't worked for the district since then.
