Fox 2: Elderly Man Struck By Truck on North & South

An elderly man was taken to an area hospital Friday morning after being struck by a pickup truck in University City, Fox 2 News reports.

Frederick Lyes was a retired school teacher, according to his family. He died of his injuries on Friday.

The man was walking along the shoulder of North & South Road, just north of Olive, according to the report. The accident occurred around 6:45 a.m. and the driver did stop, according to the report. 

University City Police are investigating the accident.
