January is National Glaucoma Month

Get free vision screening for glaucoma + free glucose screening = free $10 Schnuck's Gift Card

Glaucoma is an eye disease that can damage your optic nerve. The optic nerve supplies visual information to your brain from your eyes. Glaucoma is called "the sneak thief of sight" since there are no symptoms and once vision is lost, it's permanent. As much as 40% of vision can be lost without a person noticing. Early detection is the key to treating glaucoma successfully.

Health Protection and Education Services (HPES) is celebrating National Glaucomoa Month by offering free vision screening on Saturday, January 19 at the University City Library located at 6701 Delmar Boulevard. Registration for testing is between 9:00am - 10:30am. HPES is also offering other free health screenings, including cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose and EKGs. Consultation with a physician one-to-one at no charge. Call Diane at 314 448-7373 if you have any questions. Schnucks $10 Gift Card provided with vision + glucose testing.
