Man Arrested For Threatening Drivers With AR-15, Handgun

Marquis Harris, 18, threatened other drivers with guns in multiple incidents in Shrewsbury and University City, police said.

UNIVERSITY CITY, MO — Police say 18-year-old Marquis Harris, of Maplewood, has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon after allegedly threatening drivers with an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle in Shrewsbury and a handgun University City.

The Post-Dispatch reports Harris pulled alongside a woman last Sunday on Baptist Church Road, which runs between South Lindbergh Boulevard and Gravois Road, and yelled at her, threatening her with a rifle. He did something similar Wednesday on Delmar Boulevard in University City, pointing handguns at drivers in two separate incidents near City Hall, police said.

Police said Harris may also be connected to other crimes across St. Louis County, but they are still investigating. Harris is held on $30,000 bail for the incident in Shrewbury. The University City charges carry a separate $20,000 bail.
