Watch University City Schools' New Student-Led Newscast

"Hello, and welcome to the first SDUC newscast episode," said student reporters Emma McMahon and Jayla Fitch, introducing the first video.

UNIVERSITY CITY, MO — The School District of University City has launched a new, student-led newscast — making it one of just a few school systems in the region to do so — according to a press release.

SDUC News, as it will be called, is intended to inform district students, teachers, staff, parents and the broader U. City community about things going on in the school district, officials said. The monthly 10 to 15 minute newscast will be posted to the district's YouTube channel and will feature stories published on the school district's website as well as in the quarterly UCity Pride newspaper.
