School Starts This Week in University City

Welcome to your look at what's coming up this week in University City. Here's five things to know this week.

All Week

• Fitness & Fun — Try out fitness and leisure education classes for free at Centennial Commons this week. Check out the full schedule of classes on Page 27 of the Spring/Summer Recreation Guide.

• Flynn Park Elementary School is holding its open house/meet the teacher day from 3:30 -6:30 p.m.

• Classes begin Tuesday, Aug. 20, for students in the School District of University City. 

• Brittany Woods Middle School will hold its open house from 7-8 p.m. at the school.
• The City of University City will hold a meeting from 6-8 p.m. on proposed updates to 2012 International Codes (building, fire, etc.), swimming pool and spa code, fees. The meeting will be held at the Heman Park Community Center.
