U. City Police Looking For Three Suspected Purse Snatchers

UNIVERSITY CITY, MO — Police in University City say they are looking for three suspects who stole a woman's purse Monday morning in the 8600 block of Brookshire Lane, just south of the Ruth Park Golf Course.

The woman told police she was approached by three men who demanded her purse around 8 a.m. One of the suspects punched her after she initially refused to turn over her purse, she said. The suspects then fled, but were captured on a nearby surveillance camera.

U. City detectives say they are following up on several leads, but are asking for help identifying the suspects. They have released the video they believe shows the three fleeing the area just after the mugging.
