Participants can check-in at 10:45 a.m. at University City’s Heman Park tennis court pavilion.

The adult-only event features a special four-course progressive luncheon and a guided bike tour of University City’s little-known Urban Forestry Tree Walk covering approximately four miles. A silent auction to follow the bike ride includes a Big Shark Beach Cruiser, Craft Alliance membership and classes, a Jazz music collection from Vintage Vinyl and other gifts.

“The Parks Foundation is pleased to host this unique event which gives residents a chance to learn about trees in U City, and what's involved in maintaining them," said Les Palmer, president of the parks foundation in a press release. "I think this will be an enjoyable way to experience our parks, and to see the Urban Forestry Commission's Tree Walk. I hope everyone comes out to show their support for the trees in Tree City U City."

Tickets are $30. Spots are limited. Please reserve your spot by Oct. 8. Proceeds will be used to cover the cost of tree replacement in University City parks and support the University City Parks Foundation.
