Boone Center, Inc. (BCI) recently received the Workforce Talent Development award from the Missouri Association of Manufacturers (MAM) at its fifth annual Made in Missouri Leadership event.

MAM developed the Made in Missouri Leadership Awards to honor manufacturing companies and individual leaders who are shaping the future of manufacturing in Missouri. The Workforce Talent Development award recognizes companies who have created a culture of engagement and implemented programs to create a pipeline of next-generation leaders.

BCI was honored for both its Community Employment program and BCI Skills Center. Community Employment offers on-site employment at local companies that work with the nonprofit. The Skills Center—a first-of-its-kind vocational training facility for people with disabilities—partners directly with businesses to expand their workforce. The center provides integrated employment opportunities that advance inclusion and diversity
