What's ahead in Wentzville and Lake Saint Louis for the week of Aug. 5-11?

With the start of school coming up faster than a popsicle melting on a hot August day, this week has several important events for the Wentzville School District. Check the district's calendar for Locker Days at the middle schools, and several kindergarten orientations scheduled for Friday, Aug. 9.
Monday, August 5
- Lake Saint Louis Board of Aldermen, 5:30 p.m. work session, 7 p.m. regular meeting
- Wentzville Parks Board meeting, 7 p.m., city hall
- National Night Out, in participating neighborhoods, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m
- Wentzville Board of Aldermen work session, 6 p.m., city hall
Friday, August 9
- H.O.P.P. Night at Progress Park, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. This great Parks event offers a fun and safe place for kids to spend some time with their friends, dancing, listening to music and hanging out with friends (thus, H.O.P.P. - Hanging Out at Progress Park) under adult supervision. Cost is $5 and refreshments are additional. No hats or backpacks allowed.
