Wentzville's Economic Development Manager Takes Lincoln County Position

Larry Tucker has worked in economic development for the city of Wentzville since February 2011.

Larry Tucker, Wentzville's Economic Development Manager since February 2011, has accepted a position in Lincoln County.

Tucker resigned from his Wentzville position earlier this week. The resignation becomes effective September 7.

Daniel H. Colbert, Presiding Commissioner if Lincoln County said in a press release that Tucker would be the county's first-ever Economic Development Director.

"After much research and consideration, we feel that the timing is right to actively go to work to achieve growth in the areas of commercial and industrial development, while simultaneously expanding our tax base," Colbert said.

"The person we have chosen to fill this role is Mr. Larry Tucker, who is coming to us from the City of Wentzville, where he served in the same capacity.  Larry is one of just 39 certified Economic Developers in the entire state of Missouri, and we are excited to announce his arrival in Lincoln County sometime in mid-September."
