Allstate earns $5K for Boys & Girls Club of Yellowstone County

BILLINGS, Mont., July 19, 2018 – Six Allstate agency owners, personal financial representatives, and licensed sales professionals from the Billings area recently came together to secure a $5,000 Allstate Foundation Helping Hands® Grant to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Yellowstone County. The grant will support the Boys & Girls Club of Yellowstone County’s mission to offer youth a safe place to gather both before and after school – providing an opportunity to get homework done, receive help on assignments, receive nourishment and develop character.

The agency owners, personal financial representatives, and licensed sales professionals each earned the grant for the Boys & Girls Club of Yellowstone County by cleaning and updating interior classrooms and beautifying the club grounds. The Boys & Girls Club of Yellowstone County will use the $5,000 grant to further its work.

Billings-area Allstate volunteers joined more than 250 agency owners, financial specialists and Allstate employees in a multi-state volunteer effort in April that raised $189,000 to benefit 15 Boys & Girls Club across Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming. The participating Allstate agency owners and personal financial representatives are among thousands of Allstaters around the country working to strengthen communities by volunteering their time to support the causes they care about most.

“As small business owners and community leaders, we see firsthand the opportunities and challenges facing the communities we serve,” said Peggy Schneider, Allstate agency owner in Billings, Mont. “Giving back is core to who we are, which is why we’re proud to volunteer, raise funds to improve the lives of youth in the Billings area, and provide them with a safe place to learn and have fun after school.”

The Boys & Girls Club of Yellowstone County is one of thousands of organizations this year to receive Allstate Foundation Helping Hands Grants secured by agency owners, personal financial representatives, and licensed sales professionals on behalf of the nonprofits where they volunteer. The grants support organizations addressing domestic violence, youth empowerment, disaster preparedness, hunger and other causes.
