Week of December 23

School’s Out Day Camps • ages 5 - 12 Parents love our low participant-to-staff ratios and enthusiastic camp leaders. Kids love the field trips, outdoor adventures, arts and crafts, and games. Please pack water, snacks, lunch, and appropriate clothing for the weather. Fee includes all field trips and equipment. Meets 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., location TBA. Registration fee is $42 per day or $35 with CityCard resident discount, or $180/$150 for the week. Dec. 23, 26, 27, 30, Jan. 2, Jan. 3.

Currents Aquatics Center Holiday Hours Currents Aquatics Center is open for recreational swim weekdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Wibit inflatable obstacle course is in the pool M/W/F from 2 to 4 p.m. Currents is open December 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., December 31 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on January 1 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Currents is part of the First Night community celebration, admission is free on Dec. 31 after 4 p.m. with a First Night button.

Learn to Play Pickleball Level 1 Clinics • Saturday, December 28, ages 12+ Learn the basics of the game and get ready for open or league play. All necessary equipment (paddles, balls, nets) provided. If you’ve never played pickleball, this is the place to start. Pre-registration is required, $6 per session. Meets 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at City Life Gym, next clinic is January 11.

Christmas Ever Green Dec. 26-Jan. 15 Recycle your holiday tree and make a voluntary donation to plant new trees in Missoula. Sponsored by Parks and Recreation, the Street Maintenance Division and Garden City Compost. Drop your Christmas tree for recycling at Playfair Park, McCormick Park, and Fort Missoula Regional Park (36th Ave parking lot) from December 26 to January 15. If you appreciate this service, please consider making a small donation to plant new trees at missoulaparks.org/donate. Residents may also recycle Christmas trees at no charge at Garden City Compost, 1125 Clark Fork Lane, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. No yard waste, garbage, tree stands or decorations, please. Please do not use Parks drop sites after January 15.

Week of December 30

Missoula Movers Coffee Walks • Mondays, for active adults Enjoy the company of new friends on guided walks through Missoula’s conservation lands, parks, and trails. After the walk, enjoy a hot drink with fellow hikers! Meets Mondays at Currents, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Registration is $7 per walk. (Sorry, no CityCard discount.)

Currents Swim Lessons • Weekday and Saturday classes, ages 6 months and up Structured aquatics learning for all ages, with classes offered mornings, evenings and weekends. Warm water and zero-depth entry make learning comfortable and fun! Share the Fun Youth Recreation Grants are available for families who need financial assistance.

Dink In The New Year Pickleball Tournament • Deadline January 1, ages 12+ Join us on January 4-5 for our first indoor tournament of 2020—the Dink In The New Year! It’s a new format this season with open doubles divisions for Beginners and Intermediate to Advanced Players. First-time tournament players get special tournament swag. Don’t miss out…the registration deadline is January 1, 2020, $25 per player.

Parents’ Night Out at Currents • January 3, ages 7+ Enjoy your dinner date and explore First Friday art events without the kids in tow! Drop the kids at Currents for supervised fun in the pool and a pizza dinner. Meets 5 – 8 p.m., $15 per child.
