State of the Community: Missoula Renewed
Each year, City Club Missoula partners with the City of Missoula, Missoula County and the University of Montana to present “State of the Community,” an up-close look at three major institutions that shape our community: the city, the county and our flagship university. This year’s theme is “Missoula Renewed: Life on the Other Side of the Pandemic.” Hear from the leaders of these three entities about how Missoula weathered the COVID-19 pandemic and how we are recovering and moving forward. Panelists include Missoula County Commission Chair Dave Strohmaier, Missoula City Mayor John Engen and University of Montana President Seth Bodnar. KPAX news anchor and reporter Jill Valley will be moderating. The event will take place Monday, April 12 at 11:30 a.m. via Zoom.
Missoula County Commissioners cancel certain special district board elections, declare board members elected by acclamation
While the Missoula County Elections Office received many valid candidate filings, several board positions remain unfilled. Commissioners are seeking applicants to fill these board positions, which will become vacant May 31. Applicants must be residents of Missoula County and at least 18 years old. Additional residency requirements may apply. All board positions are served on a volunteer basis.
