Commissioners proclaim week to recognize volunteers

Missoula County commissioners, jointly with the mayor of Missoula, recognized the week of April 18 to 24 as Volunteer Recognition Week, acknowledging that volunteers are one of the county’s greatest resources. During the pandemic, volunteers had the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the community, showing their resilience and creativity in finding new ways to help people and encourage others. County and city officials wish to honor and recognize volunteers collectively and the many contributions they make that enhance Missoula County’s quality of life. The commissioners read the proclamation at their April 22 public meeting.
