Avalanche specialists from the West Central Montana Avalanche Center are working with Missoula Fire Department to keep tabs on avalanche.

Avalanche specialists from the West Central Montana Avalanche Center are working with the Missoula Fire Department to keep tabs on avalanche danger following the recent snowfalls. The recipe for an avalanche is present in the potential start zones, and we encourage the public to observe the public closures on the mountain to reduce the chance of a human-triggered slide.
