Missoula School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Missoula is August 28 for Seeley-Swan, Grades K-9 and all Willard Students. The first day is August 29 for grades 10-12, Big Sky, Hellgate and Sentinel. The first day is September 11 for preschool. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Missoula County Public District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.
