Creighton Takes Down Yale, Wins 23rd Straight Home Opener
Martin Krampelj had career highs in his first career start.

OMAHA, NE — Creighton University won its 23rd straight home opener on Friday night, defeating Yale University by a score of 92-76. Marcus Foster and Khyri Thomas combined for 45 points.
Martin Krampelj had career highs of 12 points and nine rebounds in his first career start and Toby Hegner added 11 points for the Bluejays.
A Krampelj dunk and a 3-pointer by Mitch Ballock highlighted a 9-0 run that put Creighton up 33-21 and they led 47-35 at the half as Thomas scored seven straight points. The Bluejays shot 61 percent (20 of 33) in the first half.

Creighton led by double figures throughout the second half. The Bluejays finished the game at 59 percent but only went 4 of 10 from the foul line.
Blake Reynolds scored 18 points for Yale with Trey Phills and Paul Atkinson adding 12 and Alex Copeland 10. The Bulldogs were 8 of 27 from 3-point range.
