Today, the American Lung Association in Nebraska announced that the LUNG FORCE Breathe & Brew is coming to Lincoln.

Today, the American Lung Association in Nebraska announced that the LUNG FORCE Breathe & Brew is coming to Lincoln. The first local Breathe & Brew event will take place at Zipline Brewing Co. on Friday, May 17 at 6:30 p.m.

This is the third year that the Lung Association has hosted the Breathe & Brew, but the first time that it has expanded to four different breweries over three months and the first time it has hosted one in Lincoln. Each event will include a 60-minute yoga class with a certified yoga instructor, a brewery tour and afterward all participants will celebrate with a pint of local beer included with their ticket.

“What’s so great is that yoga enthusiasts and beer fans alike can enjoy the Breathe & Brew, which is a fundraiser with a new twist,” said Julia McCarville, executive director of the Lung Association. “Over the last two years, we received a tremendous response to our Breathe & Brew fundraising events Omaha, so we are excited to bring this fun event to the beer and yoga lovers in Lincoln.”

Lung cancer is the number one cancer killer of women, yet less than 98 percent of women cite lung cancer as a top health concern. The Breathe & Brew Yoga Series is a part of the LUNG FORCE movement, which works to bring awareness of lung cancer and other lung diseases while raising funds to sponsor research.

Whether you're new to yoga, new to beer, new to both, or a seasoned pro, join us for a fun fundraiser to benefit the Lung Association and help everyone breathe a little better. Please bring your own mat and wear comfortable clothing. Tickets are $27. To learn more and register for the event visit the LUNG FORCE Breathe & Brew website.
