“Lung cancer screening has the potential to save thousands of lives through early detection, but awareness about the screening is very low and it is underutilized. That is why Dr. Lackner’s presentation to healthcare professionals is vital to the health of our state,” said Erin Smith, health promotions specialist for the Lung Association. “These experts are some of the most prominent voices in lung health in the nation, and we are honored to have them speak at the Expo.”
In addition, Dr. Russell Hopp, Professor of Pediatrics for Creighton University School of Medicine, will speak about pediatric asthma, and Dr. Sumit Mukherjee Medical Director, Thoracic Clinic Department of Pulmonary/Critical Care Methodist Physicians Clinic, will speak on interventional pulmonary.
