RENO, NV — Monarch Casino & Resort Inc. (MCRI), a casino operator based in Reno, Nevada, reported Tuesday a third-quarter profit of $9 million. On a per-share basis, Monarch said it had a profit of 49 cents.

The casino operator posted revenue of $63 million in the period.

Monarch Casino shares have increased 59 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $41.04, a climb of 70 percent in the last 12 months.
