Nevada Highway Patrol ID's Hit And Run Driver, Victim
The victim, 22-year-old Savannah Aguilar, died at University Medical Center after a pickup truck ran a red light and crashed into her car.

The woman killed on Wednesday when a pickup truck ran a red light and crashed into her was 22-year-old Savannah Aguilar of Las Vegas. Aguilar had been rushed to University Medical Center where she died.
Highway Patrol said that Aguilar had been driving a gray Toyota Camry on Sunset Road when a Ford F-150 ran a red light. Aguilar's car overturned, struck a utility support post, and came to rest on its wheels with its front on a concrete median.
The driver of the pickup has been identified as 29-year-old Lance Kaanoi, Jr. of Las Vegas.

Officers say that he fled the scene on foot and was apprehended nearby. (For more Nevada news subscribe to local news alerts on Patch).
He was treated and released at Southern Hills Hospital and then booked into Clark County Detention Center on several charges including hit and run resulting in death, reckless driving with death, and failure to obey traffic signal.
