Las Vegas Community Mentoring Summit To Be Held Saturday

Gathering of local community leaders and residents will aim to increase the number of mentors in Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS, NV - Lawmakers, public agencies, nonprofit organizations, mentors, and mentees will gather Saturday morning in Las Vegas for the "Mentoring Matters" summit. The free event is "designed to increase Nevada's mentoring capacity and encourage more people to become mentors."

The summit is being supported by the city of Las Vegas in partnership with the Las Vegas My Brother's Keeper Alliance and Nevada State College. It will take place on Saturday, Jan. 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Nevada State College Rogers Student Center Ballroom at 1300 Nevada State Dr. in Henderson.
