Explosion In Garage Displaces Two Adults Tuesday Morning

Las Vegas Fire and Rescue responded to an explosion inside of a garage Tuesday morning that caused $125,000 in damage.

LAS VEGAS, NV - A Tuesday morning fire displaced two adults and caused $125,000 in damage to a home on Quida Way. No injuries were reported.

According to Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, firefighters received a call at 6:24 a.m. Tuesday morning of an explosion inside of a garage near Torrey Pines Rd. and Alexander Rd. A vehicle inside of the garage, as well as the garage itself, were on fire.

Firefighters were able to put the fire out before the flames spread to the home, but "the fire gutted the garage and destroyed one vehicle," according to a release. The inside of the home sustained minor smoke damage.

The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced individuals and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
