Federal Arrest Warrant Issued For Sunset Park Murder Suspect
The FBI released a wanted poster of murder suspect Anthony Wrobel.
LAS VEGAS, NV - A federal arrest warrant has been issued for Anthony Wrobel, the suspect police say targeted two Venetian executives in a shooting that left one person dead Sunday evening. The federal arrest warrant was issued on Tuesday, April 17, according to the FBI.
The shooting Sunday at the Venetian company picnic at Sunset Park killed one woman and left a man hospitalized.
A wanted poster of Wrobel was issued by the FBI's Las Vegas office on Wednesday. The poster indicates that Wrobel is wanted for first degree murder and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. The poster is accompanied by two images of Wrobel at an airport, however the photos were taken on March 17, before he is alleged to have murdered Venetian executive Mia Banks. The charge of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution applies to all forms of interstate or international travel that is made to avoid arrest, not just air travel.

After the release of the FBI poster on Wednesday, LVMPD Public Information Officer Aden Ocampo-Gomez said the investigation has not yet determined if Wrobel boarded a flight after the shooting. His Dodge Charger was found at Terminal 3 at McCarran International Airport minutes after the shooting; and LVMPD Capt. Robert Plummer said Tuesday that it was possible, though it was not believed to be the case, that Wrobel left the state on a plane.
The Las Vegas Sands Corporation is offering a $50,000 reward for information that leads to Wrobel's arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call LVMPD at 702-828-3521 or 702-385-5555.
