Former Canyon Springs Star Member Of Super Bowl Champion Eagles

Former Canyon Springs High star running back and all-time NCAA rushing leader Donnel Pumphrey is Nevada's lone link to Super Bowl champs.

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV - Nevada's only link to the world champion Philadelphia Eagles is the state's 2012-2013 Gatorade High School Football Player of the Year.

Donnel Pumphrey, who attended Canyon Springs High School in North Las Vegas from 2009-2013, was selected by the Eagles in the 4th round of the 2017 NFL Draft, but missed his entire rookie season with a torn hamstring.

The North Las Vegas native is the the NCAA's all time career rushing leader, having run for 6,405 yards in his four year career at San Diego State. He broke the all time record in the final game of his career, in his own backyard, during the 2016 Las Vegas Bowl.
