Golden Knights Keep Stacking Wins At Home; Beat Columbus 6-3
The Golden Knights have now won 19 of the 23 games played in T-Mobile Arena.

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Columbus Blue Jackets are the NHL's latest team to come down with a case of the Vegas Flu. The virus has been spreading across the league and last night showed that the Blue Jackets, like 18 other teams who've visited T-Mobile Arena this season, do not have the remedy.
The Vegas Golden Knights improved their NHL-best home record to 19-2-2, beating Columbus 6-3 Tuesday in front of a whole bunch of fans who've gotten used to seeing their team win hockey games. Facing his former team, Golden Knights center William Karlsson netted his 26th and 27th goals of the season. He's the latest key member of the expansion Golden Knights to get the best of his former team inside his new home. Marc-Andre Fleury was in net Dec. 14 in a 2-1 win over his former team, the Pittsburgh Penguins. Three days later on Dec. 17, head coach Gerard Gallant got revenge by beating the Florida Panthers, who fired him early in the 2016 season, 5-2.
Karlsson said he felt the support of his teammates on Tuesday night.

"I think they were happy for me," he told reporters after the game. "Had a good talk there on the bench. What we said, I'll keep for myself."
Karlsson ended the game with a team leading 27 goals, but an unfamiliar goal scorer made the difference. Brad Hunt's second period power play goal broke a 2-2 tie, putting Vegas ahead for good. It was his first goal of the season and part of what Gallant called the Golden Knights' best period the team has played this year.

"First period we weren't playing fast, weren't plaything our game. After the first period we weren't happy, and I thought the second period was our best period of the year," Gallant said. "We were really fast, we played hard, and we didn't turn pucks over.
Fleury stopped 29 of 32 shots in the win. Next up for Vegas is a home contest against the Islanders at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
