Las Vegas Exclusive! Interview with NEVERWONDER

The hard-driving quartet (Fabienne Grisel, vocals; Jay Wise, huitar; Vincent Ramos, bass; Andres Ramos, drums) took time to do an interview with the Patch prior to departing for Las Vegas.

Patch: What's it like for NEVERWONDER to do a quick turnaround, playing a show in Las Vegas Saturday night and then the Rock N Roll Marathon there the very next day?

Fabienne: Its actually really fun, we get to give two very different type of shows and it's exciting for us. Saturday night will be in a bar/ club which is the night life we know well and thrive on and Sunday at the Rock and Roll Marathon it's outside on the Strip in a front of thousands of people, and the energy is incredible. I am actually looking forward to both shows.

Andres: Well it’s Las Vegas so for me and I think I can speak for all of us, Vegas is always a good time and it’s always fun to play there, it’s definitely some work getting us all there but always a cool experience to travel together and experience new people together.

Jay: Music and our expression of the love of performing is what we do. The more shows and people that we expose this love to satisfies a gift of this music. Looking forward to collaborating the love of music to as many people as possible.

Vincent: I love it!! I mean it's Las Vegas, nothing goes wrong and it is a fun time always, playing in front of large and small crowd, we love it because we are a live band!

Patch: What kind of crowds do you normally get in Las Vegas, as opposed to your band's home base of Los Angeles?

Fabienne: This is my second time playing in Las Vegas with NEVERWONDER and I have to say last year was super fun, the people were very receptive and welcoming, they seem always ready to have a good time. We love playing in LA, its our home, so its definitely a special place for us but because there is so much music here, sometimes people tend to be a bit blaze with live shows. Las Vegas people have a different energy and have been very warm to us. Especially to the type of music we play.

Andres: Las Vegas is a cool town so you meet some great people at the venues we play and they are always very receptive to our sound, so it’s always cool.

Jay: Not too many people transfers to site to site. But with our explosive style of our music, it allows us to bring popularity to multiple cities. It’s just at matter of time before the world is exposed to NEVERWONDER’S greatness!!!!

Vincent: Well good question we get all kinds of crowds in Vegas and it is awesome, but the difference is that LA is our home town and it is like home cooking… But is Vegas we get a lot of new people and it is a challenge but we win them over and they are with us forever and keep coming back to show and help us a lot! That to me is the best… and seeing a new person/fan getting into our music it is a rush! And that’s why we do it to share our music with all!

Patch: NEVERWONDER just got a terrific live review in respected national publication, Music Connection magazine. How has that boosted the band's profile with your fans and within the industry?

Fabienne: It's been really exciting on all front. Its wonderful to receive such high praise from a magazine like Music Connection, especially written by Brett Callwood. The reaction has been awesome, people have definitely taken notice. We keep receiving congratulatory messages from fans and friends, and people in general asking when and where we are playing next.It has definitely created a buzz. We couldn't be more happy and proud. We are ready come to a town near you and have you join the NEVERWONDER world:) lol

Andres: The review was pretty awesome so we are really happy with it and he feedback from our fans, friends and industry has been amazing.

Jay: Within Los Angeles there are thousands of bands performing that our looking for the exposure of media…..Music Connection is one the best resources a band can hope to be published in. The extreme positive resource that Music Connection has given to the music scene has propelled NEVERWONDER to a level that most bands can only hope for.

Vincent: The review was outstanding and we are very proud of it for sure! It has helped a lot from Club owners, promoter, fans, Social Media, sponsors, people who want to shoot videos and musicians who know how hard it is… It has been great and the road is very bright!

Patch: What are some fun places to eat, drink, and party in Vegas?

Andres: Great question well I'm sure everybody has an opinion on this one but I would say any strip joint Lol JK to be honest with you I like going to the casino bars and hanging out. I always meet interesting people there also downtown is always a great time too.

Vincent: Nice Dre, okay for me any place in Vegas is good, but a little spot called Peppermills is a cool little spot… But for sure any bar will work in Vegas!

Patch: What's next for NEVERWONDER?

Fabienne: We have a few more shows to end the year right. And we are also working on new material for the upcoming album, and are getting ready to start 2019 with a bang!! 2018 was very exciting and important year for us but 2019 will be even more so. Andres: We are working on new material, working on releasing a full length album and trying to play some great shows, I’m really excited about 2019 and taking NEVERWONDER to the next level!

Jay: NEVERWONDER will continue to boost the music scene with its music stylistically and move up to a higher level. We will also be blessing the world with a 2019 release of a new album that will blow the music away!!!!!
