Suspect At Large Following Murder At Venetian Company Picnic
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are looking for a suspect in a Sunday, April 15 homicide.
LAS VEGAS, NV - Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are seeking the public's help in locating 42-year old Anthony Wrobel, who they are calling a homicide suspect. Wrobel is a suspect in a Sunday shooting that killed one person and injured another at a company picnic that, according Las Vegas Review-Journal and a former employee of The Venetian, involved Venetian employees.
Police say that Wrobel is considered armed and dangerous. According to multiple reports, his vehicle was located at McCarran Airport. Anyone with information is encouraged to call LMVPD at 702-828-3521 or 702-385-5555.
UPDATE (2:50 p.m.): Police said they responded to the incident on Sunday, April 15 around 5:45 p.m. at Sunset Park on E. Sunset Rd. When officers arrived they found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to Sunrise Hospital, where the woman died and the man remains in critical condition.

In a Metro release on Monday, LVMPD confirmed a picnic hosted by the Venetian was being held at the park during the shooting. Wrobel is alleged to have approached the two victims who were sitting together, shooting them at close range before running to his car and fleeing the scene. His black and purple Dodge Charger was found at McCarran International Airport, police said.
Police said that Wrobel has been employed at the Venetian for 14 years, and that the incident "appears to be an isolated event of workplace violence." Detectives believe the two victims were specifically targeted by Wrobel.
