Traffic Alert: I-15 Lane Closures Start Wednesday

Two sections of Interstate 15 will be closed Wednesday night and will last for several weeks as part of Project Neon Construction.

LAS VEGAS, NV - Two lane closures on Interstate 15 will take effect Wednesday and will last for several weeks.

Beginning at 10 p.m. Wednesday, the outside lane and shoulder will be closed along the following parts of I-15:

  • Southbound between Sahara Ave. and Spring Mountain Rd. until late April 2018
  • Northbound between Desert Inn Rd. and Sahara Ave. until late February 2018

"The closures are needed for installation of Active Traffic Management (ATM) signs as part of Project Neon – a nearly $1 billion 4-mile-long widening of Interstate 15 from the 'Spaghetti Bowl' interchange to Sahara Avenue, which broke ground in 2016. Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. is the design-build general contractor, with Atkins North America as lead designer," according to a press release.
