McCarran International Only Getting Busier, Passenger Totals Show

Traffic through McCarran International Airport increased by four percent in February, compared to the same month last year.

LAS VEGAS, NV - McCarran International Airport saw a four percent increase in passenger volume in February, compared to the same time last year, according to numbers released Wednesday.

The number of total arriving and departing passengers to pass through McCarran in February was 3,568,662. That's up from the 3,432,220 visitors who used the airport in February 2017.

So far in 2018, the airport has serviced 7,344,961 passengers, a 3.3 percent increase from last year at this time. The numbers show that travel is up for domestic, international, and helicopter travel through the airport.

Spirit Airlines continues to be the fastest growing airline operating out of LAS. The airliner experienced an 18.1 percent increase in February compared to the same month last year, surpassing January's year-over-year growth of 16.5 percent. So far in 2018, Spirit's passenger totals this year are up 17.3 percent from last year.
