Merryhill Preschool Students Plant Tree for Earth Day

Students worked together to plant a lemon tree in their schoolyard to celebrate Earth Day

Students at Merryhill Preschool on Durango Drive in Las Vegas recently planted a lemon tree in their schoolyard in celebration of Earth Day. As the tree grows and produces lemons, students will use the lemons to make lemonade and create art projects. Throughout Earth Day, students also learned about conserving energy by turning off the lights in their school building and using natural sunlight to brighten the classrooms. Merryhill Preschool teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at a young age.
