Raider Reunion: Gruden Agrees To 10-Year Deal With Oakland
When The Oakland Raiders become the Las Vegas Raiders they will be led by head coach Jon Gruden.

OAKLAND, CA - The Oakland Raiders are getting everything in order before they move to Las Vegas full time in 2020. Last year they locked up their $125 million quarterback and their $1.9 billion stadium near the Las Vegas Strip. Today, for $100 million, they found the man they hope can lead it all.
Jon Gruden is once again the head coach of the Raiders franchise after agreeing to a reported 10-year contract that will pay him $100 million, NFL Network reported on Friday.
The #Raiders coaching staff under Jon Gruden will be the most expensive in @NFL history: Jon Gruden will make $100M over 10 years. Coordinators are getting 4 year deals, sources say. 2 years in Oakland, 2 in Las Vegas.

The job became available after owner Mark Davis fired head coach Jack Del Rio. Gruden's name has been annually linked to offseason coaching vacancies around the league and this was the year rumor became reality. He returns to the Raiders for franchise's final two seasons in Oakland, where he posted a 38-26 record as head coach from 1998-2001, before the team makes the move to Las Vegas in 2020.

Gruden has a unique relationship with the Raiders. The team traded him (a rarity for NFL coaches) to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following the 2001 season; and in his first season as Buccaneers head coach Gruden beat the Raiders in the Super Bowl. His patented "Chucky Face" expression hasn't been seen on an NFL sideline since the Buccaneers fired him after the 2008 season. Since then he's been a staple of ESPN's Monday Night Football telecast. He inherits a team with a long term commitment in place at quarterback and over $20 million in salary cap space this offseason.
The deal is expected to be formally announced next week.
