Reno Hit And Run Victim Dies, Police Increase Cash Reward

Police are asking for the public's help finding the driver of the vehicle that ran into a man. The man died of his injuries Sunday.

RENO, NV - A pedestrian involved in a Jan. 21 hit and run has died, according to Reno Police Department. The man has been identified as Jerry Vanlaar, a Reno resident.

According to RPD, the man died on Feb. 25. Police are still investigating the incident, which occurred at the intersection of 6th St. and Valley Rd. Police believe that the man died after a car struck him and fled the scene. A $1,500 cash reward is available to any information that leads to an arrest or conviction of the driver of the vehicle.
