Round 2 Of The Playoffs Begin Thursday For The Golden Knights
The Stanley Cup Playoffs continue for the Golden Knights Thursday at home against the San Jose Sharks. Game time is at 7 p.m.

LAS VEGAS, NV - The wait is over. Vegas hockey fans have been patiently watching the rest of the NHL sort out the first round of the playoffs. The Golden Knights learned last week their opponent would be the San Jose Sharks and today they learned when their Stanley Cup quest will continue.
The second round of the playoffs will begin on Thursday for Game 1 in Las Vegas. The puck drops at 7 p.m. in front what will be a sold out hometown crowd at T-Mobile Arena.
"Now that we know, it's becoming itchy,"said forward Erik Haula.

The second round Western Conference matchup features the only two teams to sweep their opening round series. The Sharks beat the Anaheim Ducks to open the playoffs.

- Vegas won the Pacific Division in the Western Conference and San Jose finished third this season.
- The Sharks posted a 20-14-7 record on the road this season.
- The Golden Knights posted a 29-10-2 record at home this season.
- The two teams met four times in the regular season. The Golden Knights won three of those games, with the only loss coming in overtime.
Haula was asked what approach the team will take to the Sharks series after sweeping the Los Angeles Kings.
"As long as we get to four wins it doesn't matter what fashion we do it," he said.
